Welcoming Fall in Rwanda

We are continuing to press on in our adventure here at Kibogora - working through school, inventorying the mission, operating at the hospital, etc..... but it is always nice to take a break from the normal routine.  Ryan and Joel had a meeting in Kigali with a couple of Rwandan friends over the past weekend.  So, prepared with doses medicines like Dramamine, we all piled into the Land Cruiser to go too!  The drive to Kigali took us 4 hours on Friday.  On our way home we took a different, more adventurous route through the rain forest and it took almost 6 hours.

In Kigali, we stayed at a hotel that had a pool - it was the cheapest we could find with a pool - and we were curious to find out why it was so cheap.... but it was wonderful!  We were out of the city about 20 minutes, so that may account for the cheaper price.  But Peponi's was just what we needed to rest, recover and spend time having fun together.  It was a perfect break.

Here are some moments of fun:

Such a nice dinner at Bamboo

Living it up at a movie theater!!!  We saw Angry Birds 2

It was in 3D and it was only $5

So much fun swimming at the hotel pool

This is what it looks like loading up to make the windy, bumpy, rainy drive back to Kibogora

Enjoying Mexican food at Meze Fresh

Tia and Anna lookin' like movie stars
